Does anyone have a tool for counting cash and check contributions given in offering envelopes with a link to a ChMS? I’m aware of the check scanning that Paperless Transactions does and that Skanvelope claims to do OCR on offering envelopes, but I suspect there must be other vendors doing the same sorts of things. Thoughts?

Just heard from Paperless Transactions that they also do envelope scanning:
Our software works to scan checks, money orders, remittance slips, and/or envelopes…we have a very diverse set of features that help support a high read rate when OCR’ing envelopes (we can set up scan line fields so as to pull printed or response data from an envelope). We work with large churches like http://www.faithdome.org/ to set up scanning of envelopes for cash contributions and we work with organizations like https://worldhelp.net/ and Red Cross to scan remittance slips and checks.
