TheCity was generally considered to be a “private” space to post things. With the transition to Discourse, it was decided that in order to make the content more accessible and searchable, keeping it more public was a benefit. We can, of course, add private categories as needs change but we didn’t want to violate that previous expectation.

We’ll have to work with the staff at theCity to see how they suggest we sunset use of their platform. Would be nice if we could set them to read-only for archival reference.
That would be lovely. There’s plenty of good stuff there, but it would be great to keep it and direct folks here going forward.
