A year ago we started looking at creating a report that we could run in Jamf that would return application usage for a period of time. We did a proof of concept and it worked ok. Now we’re taking it to the next level and have a developer finish the application. My question to the group is would you rather have a web app or a windows desktop app? In our case we are all Mac so I’d have to run it on a server but I can see benefits either way. A desktop app would be more portable but a web app more customizable. Let me know. We might be open to sharing the final product.
If you would be open to sharing, I think a web app would be preferable, so it wouldn’t be OS dependent. We’re a mix of macOS, Windows 10, and ChromeOS.
